Jaguar XJR
The Jaguar XJ-R is a modern classic, a graceful saloon in the traditional Jaguar style, but with the performance of a fast cross-country touring car. The 4.0 litre supercharged straight six engine in this car turns a super-smooth saloon into a highly rewarding driver's car. It is perfect for a luxurious weekend away in the Cotswolds or touring the countryside with friends.
The Jaguar XJ-R is available to hire with our comprehensive hire package, which includes 24 hours hire and unlimited mileage for every day you book. The price includes insurance, breakdown cover and secure parking for your own car while you hire this one.
The Great Escape Jaguar XJ-R - known in Jaguar circles as an X300 model - is particularly special because it is one of the first XJ-R saloons ever made. A 1994 car, it comes from the first month of the first year of Jaguar XJ-R production. The X300 was one of the last Jaguars to use a straight six engine, a format that can trace its lineage back to the XK sports cars of the 1950s and includes the iconic Jaguar XJ saloons of the 1960s and 1970s.
This car features ice blue metallic paintwork with cream leather interior and dark wood veneers. It is fitted with an automatic gearbox and a huge range of luxury features typical of a top of the range executive car from this era, including a Harman Kardon high end radio-CD-cassette system.
The Jaguar XJR engine is a supercharged version of the AJ16 engine used in Jaguar XJ-S coupes and convertibles since the early 1990s. It generates over 300bhp, powered through the rear wheels.
